Advanced Training in Complete Current Procedural Terminology for South Africa

This course is aimed at Clinical Coders and Case Managers; those seeking a career in Clinical Coding or Case Management

The course takes place over a period of 9  to 12 months with 1 lecture per month for 8 months. There is one distance assignment per month and a final examination in the last month if the course.

Entry requirements: Completion of Intermediate Training in Complete Current Procedural Terminology for South Africa or Equivalent Course or Competency Test

Course fee is R 25 000

The course will be facilitated in two blocks as follows and will take place in Randburg, Johannesburg. Students can join in via  Microsoft Teams if they are unable to travel to Johannesburg. 

Block 1

  • Module 1: 02/07/21
  • Module 2: 03/08/21
  • Module 3: 03/09/21

Block 2

  • Module 4: 04/10/21
  • Module 5: 05/11/21
  • Module 6: 03/12/21
  • Examination: TBA

  • Eye/Ocular and adnexa
  • Auditory system
  • Maternity care and deliver
  • Eye/Ocular and adnexa
  • Practical applications
  • Use of the PHISC CCSA Coding Standards

A Certificate of Completion will be issued to participants on successful completion of the course.
