Confocal 880 with Fast Airyscan Technology

This is a three day workshop that will introduce current and new confocal users to the Fast Airyscan Technology on the new Zeiss LSM 880 with Airyscan Confocal.

The workshop is targeted at biological scientists wanting to use the confocal microscope for imaging and quantitative imaging data analysis.  The course will consist of a series of lectures, followed by practical sessions on how to do both fixed and live cell imaging.

Course content:

  • Lectures on principles of confocal and Airyscan technology
  • Lectures on samples preparation for imaging
  • Lectures on technical aspects of the confocal with Airyscan
  • Discussions on booking, training and assistance for imaging
  • Demonstration on specialised applications for fixed and live cells
  • How to set up imaging parameters for specimen viewing
  • Hands-on sample imaging using fixed cells
  • Hands-on sample imaging using live cells and the Fast Airyscan technology
  • Image data quantification
