Creating Disability Information Systems
Dates: 2 to 4 July 2018 (two and half-days) Venue: Barnard Fuller, UCT Faculty of Health Sciences Time: 08h30 to 16h30. Half day ends at 13h00.
Course fee is R 3 000 (Includes refreshments and course materials)
This two and a half-day course is aimed at professionals in all fields, policy makers, CBR workers and implementers at national, provincial and municipal levels of government offices, non-governmental organizations, disabled people organizations, principals of school, academics, project managers and university students.
Thecourse is structured to be interactive and includes seminars, small group discussions, presentations and activities. These activities will focus on the principles of record keeping, and then go through the rehabilitation reasoning cycle while identifying any relevant support structures that informs the care pathway of a person. Participants will learn how to apply the use of portfolios for evidence and effective student learning. Communication as a means to disseminate messages using visual aids will be discussed
Pre-reading material will be sent to participants prior to the start of the course and these readings will be integrated into the activities and discussions in class. View the full course programme
