MRI for the Graduate Radiologist

This 1½ day workshop is specifically designed to benefit graduate and trainee radiologists who have an interest in MRI. ​The course will consist of lectures integrated with reporting sessions, quiz sessions, case reviews and new horizon topics. 

Pre-Course Preparation

Course participants will receive a pre-course 'MRI bundle' in preparation for the course. It is highly recommended that participants attempt writing a complete report on the cases on their own prior to the course. All clinical cases presented will be available to participants at the end of the course.

  • How to get the best image from your magnet
  • Signal creation
  • Pulse sequences
  • Showcasing MRI functionality
  • Structured MR reporting
  • Quiz sessions
  • Case review, emphasis will be neuroradiology and MSK​

Course fee is

R 2 500 

CPD points = 12 | Level 1 

The course will be held at the Cape Universities Body Imaging Centre (CUBIC) which hosts Africa’s first 3T Magnetom Skyra, whole body research scanner. CUBIC UCT is situated adjacent to the Psychiatry block at Groote Schuur Hospital.
